Adrian Poema, from Buenos Aires Argentina, first began performing at the age of six with his family’s renowned Risley foot juggling act. An accomplished acrobat and performer, he was one of the few to perfect the difficult “one finger stand.” Adrian now performs with his three children: Catherine (11), Mariana (9) and Adrian Jr (6), eighth-generation performers, all following in the tradition and footsteps of their ancestors. Mother, Nellie Hanneford, daughter of the late Tommy Hanneford, was literally “born in the trunk” and began her circus career at the age of two. She is an accomplished equestrian bareback rider, trainer and aerialist and assists in the performance and presentation of her children. Adrian and Nellie met while performing on the Hanneford Circus; were married in 1995 and had four children. The youngest, Tommy, is nearly two, and is sure to be in the ring soon! This is truly a family act that will leave you feeling good all over; bringing acrobatic agility, laughs and excitement rolled into one package of genuine love for the circus!
