Robinson and Alex Cortes are fourth-generation circus performers from Columbia, South America. Robinson has been the main flyer of their family trapeze act for 27 years and now replaces his father as catcher. He has handed over the flying, to his brother Alex, who began flying when he was only five years old. When Alida Wallenda and Robinson married in 1999, she not only joined the family, but also joined in the act. She is one of the seventh-generation of the famous Flying Wallenda family and helped to rebuild its incredible Guinness Book of World Records eight-person pyramid in 2001. Alida performed with Circus Flora for the first time when she was 14 years old. Now, Alida’s and Robinson’s six-year-old daughter, Ysabella, is practicing her swing and will soon be joining the act! Chrystie Toth, a former gymnast, is the newest member to the troupe, joining in 2006.
