The St. Louis Arches are the sensational, performing youth circus troupe from the Circus Day Foundation/Circus Harmony, St. Louis’ only circus school and social circus organization. The Arches are currently comprised of children aged eight to eighteen years old from throughout the St. Louis area. They perform a wide variety of circus arts including acrobatic, aerial, juggling, clowning, balancing and bareback riding feats of skill and daring. Since their inception in 1989, they have been choreographed and directed by Jessica Hentoff. These acclaimed and accomplished youth circus performers can be seen almost every weekend in their ‘home ring’ at City Museum in downtown St. Louis. They also appear at a number of public and private events throughout St. Louis and beyond. The Arches have been appearing with Circus Flora since 1989. They have also been honored to perform for both Cirque Du Soleil and Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey. Last summer, the Arches served as youth circus peace ambassadors when they went to Israel for a collaboration with a Jewish/Arab youth circus in the Galilee!
