Andrey was born in Rostov-on-Don, Russia. As a child, Andrey juggled and performed in his family’s dog act. At the age of 20, he hired trainer Sergei Ignatov to perfect his skills and his mother, Irina Markova, to help create a juggling and dog act for him. For the last three years, Andrey has performed throughout the world in such places as the United Arab Emirates, Russia, Puerto Rico, the United States and was the Big Apple Circus’ 25th Anniversary hit. Now Andrey joins Circus Flora for it’s 20th Anniversary celebration with his wife Tanya. Markov’s Captivating Canines combines extraordinary beauty and comedy. The marvelous mix of mutts are remarkable for their stamina and agility as they perform feats of skill and balance that would be unequaled...even for a two-legged human to accomplish. This fast paced super animal act begins with a different approach from the ordinary, and closes with a very colorful and uniquely Dog-gone finish.
